It's that time again! The beginning of March means it's almost Spring Break! It also means Dental Health month is over! I'm all about caring for your teeth and having good habits but I really have a THING about teeth. I hate talking about teeth or hearing the wiggly tooth sound. {gag} The Brainpop video on loose teeth makes me want to vomit. No lie- I have to step outside the room until that video is over. Once Reagan was posting a story about one of her students and I saw the words tooth and dangle and had to stop reading! She's my friend, she understands. My students know I just don't do teeth. Last week one of my first graders ran into another student and it knocked her tooth loose and it was bleeding. {gag again} Other students would run to their teacher. My kids run to another teacher! I love them! They don't mind my loose teeth phobia!
Anyhoo.....
Hubby plays smooth jazz every weekend. I like it. Now every time I hear jazz I think of lazy weekends and cups of coffee.
That's right! If you saw my post earlier this week you know that I finally have a new car! I am loving all the special features too. And the NEW CAR SMELL! It's heavenly folks.
I'm so excited to decorate our new house. I've been online browsing all over looking for the perfect items to decorate. If only I could win the lottery and buy all the things I instantly fall in love with.
As excited as I am to move into a new house I am NOT excited to pack and move and unpack. Let's face it- moving is AWFUL. Packing is so boring and tedious. Y'all feel free to come over and help us pack!
Anyone else needing more time? There's just not enough time in the day to finish everything I put on my to-do list!
Like: jammies- must jump into jammies as soon as I get home! I have new comfy sweats that I love.
Love: jewelry- it's an obsession really. And stupid Jewelry Nut Auctions always posts cute stuff!
Hate: jokes. Well, knock-knock jokes. None of them are funny. I find them totally irritating. I pray every book fair that none of my students purchase a book of knock-knock jokes. Torture.

YAY for your new car!!! I need more details... and pics!!! this is an epic occasion and that requires more pics and details... FO SHO
ReplyDeletewe are looking for a new house but the thought of packing this one makes me not want to look for a new one... yuck to packing!!!
can't wait for the house warming party!!!
Congrats on getting your new car...that is the best feeling/smell!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so with you on the knock knock jokes. Especially most of my students don't even understand what makes knock knock jokes funny...so they just make up a bunch that make no sense at all!

I don't do teeth either. My fourth graders like to go to the nurse for every wiggling tooth! I say no way...a part of growing up is using your tongue to wiggle. I will recommend a book for you NOT to read...Trevor's Wiggly Wobbly Tooth by Lester Laminack...your students would love it, but you just may vomit! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new fun car!

I feel your pain on the tooth phobia! I had a student lose a tooth yesterday. She went to the nurse and came back with one of those little tooth necklaces to hold the tooth in. I would not want a tooth dangling from my neck...just sayin'! Congrats on the new car!

ROTFL about your tooth phobia. That must be difficult for a 1st grade teacher because that's when they seem to loose their teeth (my little is in 1st this year). My son LOVE telling me jokes. He looks them up on his iPod just to find more. Congrats on the new car. We got a 2013 Honda Odyssey and I too just LOVE it to pieces. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThose jokes drive me crazy too-worse than the books of them is when they just start making up their own. Knock, knock. Who's there? Banana. Banana who? Banana Banana, ha ha ha! Then they don't understand why you aren't laughing! :)

I'm with you on the love of jammies!! The first thing I do when I get home is take off my jewelry (love wearing it, but hate wearing it, too), take out my contacts, and put on my jammies!!
ReplyDeleteI popped over from the Currently link-up. Glad to have found you!

I want a new car!!! Mine is going to have to just fall apart probably before I will be getting a new one (much to my daughter's dismay). I got a good laugh from your tooth phobia, that's a new one for me.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about moving, when we moved to our house, I was embarrassed by how much junk I had.
Happy Packing! ;D

Congrats on the new car! I feel like I have not talked to you in ages. Wish I could help you pack. I know how horrible that whole process is. The good news is that when everyone keeps tell you that it will be worth it in the end...it's true. :)
